What are the ingredients in Organic Triple Fiber

triple fiberThere are three main ingredients. The ingredients are flax, oat bran, and acacia.  The fiber in these three products help promote regularity, relieve occasional constipation, and help eliminate toxins from the digestive tract. Triple Fiber is a non-cramping, psyllium free formula.  Hence people who do not like Psyllium based product such as metamucil may consider this product.

Flax Fiber

Our body needs both soluble and insoluble fiber.  Usually it is difficult to find any one food that contains both types, except for flax seeds.

Flax Seeds in Triple FiberFlaxseeds are high in both: soluble and insoluble fiber, making flax seeds one of the best no-fuss ways and most effective healthy additions to your diet. One tablespoon of ground flaxseeds contains 2 grams of fiber, and you can easily incorporate several tablespoons of the ground seeds in your diet throughout your busy day.

Not only are flax seeds rich in fiber, but also in the essential omega 3 fatty acids, namely alpha-linolenic acid or ALA.

Flaxseeds contain 54% omega-3 fatty acids. Omega 3 fatty acids found in flax seeds have an anti-inflammatory effect in the body, which are responsible for the seeds’ scientifically backed reputation in alleviating symptoms associated with arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and even eczema and other skin problems.

Flaxseed reportedly is a rich source of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA)‚ dietary fiber‚ and other nutrients. It also contains lignans which appear to provide antioxidant protection to the cells of your body and promote your general wellness. Flaxseed may also support certain facets of heart health‚ burn body fat‚ and improve digestion.

Oat Bran

Oats bran in triple fiberOats are quite popular among many people now a day who are health conscious.  But many of you may not be aware that it is also a great source of dietary fiber.  If you want to have a healthier heart, we would suggest you to add Oat in your breakfast table regularly.  Half cup or Oat Bran contain around 3 grams of fiber where as 1 cup of cooked oatmeal contains 4 grams of soluble fiber.

Fiber-rich oat bran in this dietary supplement helps keep away heart conditions and irritable bowel syndrome. It could potentially reduce the levels of blood glucose and low-density lipoprotein in your body‚ fight fatigue‚ and ease joint pain too. Like other fiber product as well as foods rich in fiber, oat bran creates a feeling of fullness and control appetite which removes the cravings and controls your food intake.

Acacia fiber is a type of soluble fiber sourced from the sap of the Acacia senegal tree.  Is is also known as gum arabic and acacia gum.  Due to its high content of soluble fiber, acacia fiber is thought to help lower cholesterol levels, keep blood sugar in check and protect against diabetes, and aid in the treatment of digestive disorders (including irritable bowel syndrome).

Acacia reportedly provides dietary fiber to your body and alleviates conditions related to your heart‚ liver‚ digestive system‚ and skin. It could potentially increase the levels of high-density lipoprotein in your body

What are the different flavors of Triple Fiber

Triple fiber is not present in different flavor but it is presented in different form.  The options available for Triple fiber are Capsule and Powder.

How Much Fiber is Present in One Serving of Triple Fiber

Since Triple fiber is present in two forms, both of them have different amount of fibers.  Here are the details –

Organic Triple Fiber Powder   – 1 Scoop which contains around 11 grams has around 4 grams of fiber (1 grams soluble and 4 grams insoluble fiber).

Organic Triple Fiber Capsule   – 5 Capsules which contains around 2 grams of fiber (0.6 grams soluble and 1.4 grams insoluble fiber).

Both of these contains few grams of protein and 1 gram of fat per serving.

What is the Recommended Triple Fiber Dose

Many people feel that they suffer from cramps when they start taking 5 capsules at a time in the beginning.  Some others may suffer from diarrhea in the beginning.  Hence it is always better to start with one or two capsules.  Once you get used to it you can gradually increase the dose.  Once adjusted you can take either take one scoop twice a day or 5 capsules twice a day.

What Are Triple Fiber Side Effects

I tried to find side effects face by users of Triple fiber but could not find any complaints related to side effects.  However there is a generic warning for fiber products which is that the most common adverse effects of dietary fiber are minor gastrointestinal symptoms.  When sufficient water is not taken it can cause chocking.

Triple Fiber Review

I checked the review for Triple Fiber at from the buyers.  I saw almost all the feedback as positive.  Most negative reviews centered around the cost factor.

Here are some of the positive reviews –

Before buying this product, I had tried many others to help with regularity, but with little to no success. The last one I tried was pure acacia tablets, but they became no longer available on Amazon. So I thought I would try this as an alternative.

Long story short, 1 capsule a day keeps me very regular. Haven’t felt this good in a long time. I can’t imagine taking 5, 10, or 15 capsules a day. I would probably see additional benefits by increasing my water consumption (which would also make my nephrologist happy).

As others have noted, this is very low in fiber. They try to mask that by saying each capsule has 2,500mg of fiber, but in reality that is only 2.5g of fiber. I try to eat other high fiber foods, such as whole grain bread, cereals, fruits and vegetables to get the proper amount of fiber in my diet.

The only downside to the capsules is that they generate a lot of natural gas emissions. But to me, that inconvenience is worth having because I don’t have constipation any more.

I purchased these so i can go to the bathroom without having to feel much strain and they worked. Going to the bathroom now feels like an IN and quickly OUT process. 1,2,3. i take one pill a day. I’m not following the instructions

David ~

My main side effect during doing chemo was constipation. Taking Organic Triple Fiber capsules helped to regulate my system and I have continued to use it.

Here are some of the negative reviews –

Most of the negative reviews are related to price.  These customer do not agree with the pricing.

the product is fine, but for less money, I switched to organic chia seeds and ground flax seed. I just couldn’t justify using the tablets as it takes 5 capsules to get the same amount of fiber in non-capsulated products.

SK ~

oatmeal is .11 per serving for 4g fiber. this stuff is .53 per serving for 2g do the math, what a ripoff

Triple Fiber For Constipation During Pregnancy

Usually natural fiber products are considered safe during pregnancy for relief of constipation.  This product contains fiber from organic flax seeds, acacia and oat bran which are considered safe during pregnancy. At the same time it is better to talk to your doctor before you take any fiber supplement product including triple fiber.  Their website also mentions that you should be consulting your healthcare provider if you are considering this product for constipation during pregnancy.

Take lot of water when you take triple fiber since the insoluble fiber in this product absorbs water and creates bulk.  This can sometimes cause blockage and constipation.  You may also get chocked if the sufficient water or juice is not taken with this product.

Consult your physician before using this or any product if you are pregnant‚ nursing‚ trying to conceive‚ taking medication or have a medical condition such as ulcers.

Do not consume this fiber supplement if you difficulty swallowing‚ acute cough or obstructed bowel as it can cause blockage or other health issues.

Advantages of Triple Fiber over Metamucil

Triple fiber does not contain Psyllium since the fiber sources are Oats bran, flax and acacia.  Therefore you are less likely to suffer from bloating of belly.  Another advantage is it is easier to consume as many people do not like the taste of Psyllium which can form gel like formation.  Triple fiber is available in capsule form which is very easy to consume.

The best part which I like about Triple fiber is that it is organic product which means it is totally non GMO and without any harmful pesticides.

Since Triple fiber contains flax seed fiber, it also supplies omega3 fatty acid and alpha-linolenic acid (ALA)‚ dietary fiber‚ and also contains lignans.
